Captured by Cotton is a pet photography studio owned by a man who manages an animal rescue. While much of his work is centered around his love for animals, he wanted his logo to be something scalable that he could transition into larger more elegant work such as weddings and events.
Anderson County Animal Services, formerly Anderson County Animal Control, is a public service in Anderson County that I have volunteered for years. They approached me with the idea of changing the name to something friendlier, which in turn required a new logo. Animal control is often seen as a pseudo-branch of the police force and as “dog catchers.” To differentiate from the law enforcement image, we chose animal icons representing the animals in the community to feel more friendly and welcoming, which I then designed.
